Thank you to all those who sent in title suggestions for the 3rd book in EIN-OXFORD-TEAROOM-KRIMI - the German edition of my Oxford Tearoom Mysteries.

In the end, the title that we decided to go for was:

„Morden und Tee trinken"

- a pun of the German proverb: „Abwarten und Tee trinken“ (which my translator explained to me literally means "wait and drink tea", the German version of ‘wait and see’ ).

I like the fact that all 3 books in the series so far will have "tee" in their titles - a nice way to tie them together!

This book is now available for pre-order and will hopefully be released before Christmas!

Finally, for those of you who are not on Facebook, here are some photos I posted recently which you might enjoy...

First of all, with the launch of my new Barefoot Sleuth series, I decided to embrace a new hairstyle too! :-)

My natural hair is chopstick straight and I LOVE curly hair (you always want what you don't have, don't you? ) so once a year, I usually get my hair permed... and this time, I decided to have it cut shorter than usual too!

What do you think? :-)

One of the nicest things about winter is seeing all the Aussie native plants start blooming as the rains come. While I love the "traditional" cottage garden with typical English plants, I do have some Aussie natives too! One of my favourites is the Pink Mulla Mulla (Ptilotus exaltatus). It has unusual feathery flowers and looks gorgeous when the sun shines through it! It flowers nonstop for months. Mine has been blooming since May...

Here in Western Australia, although we officially re-opened from lockdown back in June, my husband & I haven't been rushing out! ;-) We're slowly getting braver, though, and have been venturing out more - like a recent lunch at a lovely cafe by the iconic Swan River. It's a gorgeous spot with a great view of downtown Perth across the water.

We avoid the crowds on weekends though and pick places with outdoor seating in the fresh air. Can't be too careful!! ;-) We do feel incredibly lucky to be living somewhere where community cases have fallen to zero and we're protected by our state borders being closed to the rest of the world (and even the rest of Australia!) - anyone entering WA has to do mandatory hotel quarantine for 14 days and be tested. So life in Perth is almost like back to "normal".

But I do worry about people getting complacent. Our "safe bubble" can burst at any time, if there is a quarantine breach... So I'm remaining vigilant. But it's nice to enjoy some more freedom in the meantime. I'd almost forgotten what it was like to sit in a cafe!!
