I'm back - and I can see! :-) Plus New Audiobook & Upcoming Releases...

First of all - thank you so, SO much for all the amazing emails & Facebook messages I received following my last newsletter about my eye surgery (I had over 300 messages that weekend - I was overwhelmed!). I can't tell you how incredibly touched I was that so many of you took the time out of your busy lives to drop me a line - thank you!!

I hope you will forgive me for not being able to reply to each of you individually but I really wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your thoughts (and for those of you having your own eye procedures, I hope all goes/went well!)

I'm delighted to report that the surgery went smoothly and my eyes are recovering well. In fact, it felt like a miracle the morning after the procedure when I woke up and was able to see clearly for the first time in my life, without glasses or contact lenses! :-) OMG, everything is so clear now - I hadn't realised how much my vision had deteriorated previously.

I've been on a regime of a million drops several times a day ;-) and have to wear dark glasses when it's bright, but overall, it's been a very smooth recovery. I did have a little setback the first week - (yes, I confess, I was impatient to get back to work and overdid things a bit! I find the glowing screen (computer/phone) to be the biggest strain on my eyes so have had to severely limit my screen time each day ) - and I've been trying to be good since then and force myself to slow down/do less (very frustrating when you're a hyper workaholic! Haha!).

BUT - you'll be pleased to hear that despite the forced slow pace, I'm almost finished writing the next Bewitched by Chocolate mystery (Book 6) and will hopefully be sending it to my editor next week! :-) And I hope to be able to release it in early September.

After that, I'll be diving straight into the next Oxford Tearoom Mystery (Book 10) which I hope will be ready for release some time in Oct/Nov.

And for all those asking when the next Poppy book will be out - I'm planning to start writing the next English Cottage Garden mystery (Book 4) in the lead up to Christmas, with a view to releasing it in Jan next year.

Oh, and I also have exciting news about "Törtchen, Tee und Tod", the German edition of A SCONE TO DIE FOR (my first translation!) - that's almost ready and will be released in September too!

Finally - audiobook lovers - I haven't forgotten you! :-) The 2nd English Cottage Garden mystery has just been released in audio (see below) with the 3rd book to follow next month.

Oh, last thing - I just had to show you a bit of my garden with all the azaleas blooming! :-) It's mid-winter in Western Australia at the moment and we're getting lots of rain (at last!), but the days are mild and often sunny too, so the plants are really thriving.

I LOVE azaleas, with their gorgeous, ruffled, romantic blooms and all the colour they bring to the garden - and you know, it's weird but ever since I had the eye surgery, greens seem greener and pinks seem pinker... colours just seem so much more vivid than before! Maybe I'll be writing more vivid descriptions in my books now - haha!
