Hello from Western Australia!
I'm currently working on the next Oxford Tearoom Mystery (Book 11) and I wanted to ask your thoughts on the title.
As you know, I like all my cozy mystery titles to be a pun or play on words. For this series, the words/phrase must relate to tea or baking + crime (or something "negative") - for example, Book 4: "Till Death Do Us Tart". As you can imagine, trying to tick all those boxes can be a challenge sometimes! 😉 Especially as I also like to pick something that hasn't already been used. There is no copyright on titles, of course, and many books have the same title as another, but ideally, I'd like to find something original if I can.
Anyway, so for the next book, I came up with the title: "Wrongfully Infused" - but I'm a bit worried that people might not easily *get* the pun. If it's too obscure, then I
might need to think of something else. So can you please choose one of the following to help me decide? (I'll be able to count & see which choice gets the most clicks). Thank you!
(* if you didn't get it, scroll to the bottom of the newsletter to see the original phrase that I'm punning on)
Oxford Tearoom Mysteries - now in French!
.
For all my French-speaking fans, I'm delighted to announce that you can now read 'A Scone to Die For', the first book in my Oxford Tearoom Mysteries in French!
The French edition: Chou à la crim’ (Les Thés meurtriers d’Oxford - Livre 1 is now available on Amazon as ebook and paperback:
So if you've been wanting to share my books with friends and family who prefer to read in French... now they can enjoy them too! 😊
And if you have a moment to leave a review for the book on Amazon FR or Amazon CA, I would be SO grateful! It would be a huge help as my books are still fairly unknown in the French market - it would be wonderful if you could share your love of my characters and stories, and introduce them to other French readers.
Thank you!

ps. I apologise for the slightly confusing questions in the giveaway entry! The second question really only applied to those who answered: "I only read the Bewitched by Chocolate series" in Question 1, so if you DO read my other series, it wasn't really relevant. But thank you to all those who tried to answer anyway. I guess this is why I write stories rather than design surveys for a living -
haha! 😉
It was great for me find out more about your reading habits. You see, I'd always been told that there is a divide between the readers who like stories with a paranormal setting (like my Bewitched by Chocolate series) and those who prefer stories with no magic or fantasy (like my Oxford Tearoom and English Cottage Garden series) and so I thought there was very little crossover. But I
was pleasantly surprised to find that the majority of you read all my series, and many of you enjoy both types of stories! 😊
** Title pun revealed: OK - so if you weren't sure, the title is a pun on the phrase: "wrongfully accused" - which is, of course, a term used in criminal investigations and courtrooms. Therefore, it gives the crime reference - whilst the "infused" gives the tea reference, that relates to the tearoom.
Finally, before I go, here's a photo for all the cat fans! Now that the weather is warming up, Muesli is spending a lot of time lying on the deck, enjoying the spring sunshine...
Thanks for reading - talk soon!
