Every author works differently but for me, as I get more immersed in a manuscript, I become terribly anti-social! I disappear completely from Facebook, stop checking emails and WhatsApp messages, even those from family unless it's urgent (sorry, MaMa!) and basically just retreat from the world into my Writing Cave.
Especially in the final few weeks as I race towards "The End", everything narrows down to just write, eat, sleep, (maybe shower 😉)...repeat... repeat... My poor husband is left to fend for himself and the house becomes a total pigsty!
I wish it wasn't so extreme but I can't seem to figure out any other way to get my books finished (I SO admire the authors who can juggle social media, book promotion, marketing, emails, admin and goodness knows what else while still also churning out a book a month!)
So anyway - although I actually have LOADS of fun things to share with you (including some cool stuff on audiobooks & a heartwarming fan story with a gorgeous kitty!) - I'm going to have to leave that to my next newsletter.
