Hello from Down Under! I'm pleased to announce that A High Whisk
Situation - the new book in the Oxford Tearoom Mysteries - is now (finally!) available in paperback as well as ebook! You can find both formats here: Amazon | Amazon UK | Amazon DE (* for other countries, simply replace the ".com" in the URL with your own country e.g. ".com.au" for
Australia, ".ca" for Canada, ".fr" for France... etc.)
Filled with humour, suspense, and unexpected twists, A
High Whisk Situation is a delightful read for fans of cozy mysteries and traditional English whodunits. So put the kettle on, grab a scone (or a shortbread, we won't judge!), and get ready for a hilarious, entertaining adventure in the Scottish Highlands!
** I'm sorry the print version was so delayed. Amazon seems to be taking AGES to send proof copies these days, I don't know why - it's very frustrating! What about the audiobook? My narrator Pearl is still recording the new book (and having great fun with all the Scottish accents! 😉) ... I'll keep you posted and let you know as soon as it's available. It should hopefully be released in the next couple of weeks. ***
Thank you to all those who entered my last
giveaway by leaving a comment on my blog post: Afternoon Tea in a Scottish Castle - I really enjoyed reading all your thoughts & experiences! 😊 I've tried to answer every comment personally (there were over 100 so please forgive me if I missed you!) - so if you did ask me a question or something, you might like to pop back on the blog to see my answer. (** A special thank you to "Geranium Cat" who explained that the special leather armchair is called a "Porter's Chair" and what they were used for.. fascinating! ) And I'm delighted to announce the winner of the giveaway, randomly chosen from the comments... ...is Loulou! Loulou wins a complete print set of the Oxford Tearoom Mysteries in the "old" covers...Congratulations! My assistant Erin will be in touch with you directly to organise the details of the prize.
More Blog Giveaways! If you didn't win this time, don't worry! I'm enjoying these blog giveaways so much that I'm planning to do lots more! 😊 Next up, I'll be offering the chance to win signed copies of the latest new release: A High Whisk
Situation. So stay tuned - more details to follow in the next newsletter!
And in fact - I've got another giveaway for you
right now, with Kings River Life Magazine. They are featuring my new release with a lovely write-up from one of their reviewers (thank you, Kathleen!) - and also the chance to win an ebook or print copy (your choice!) of A High Whisk
Situation. So head over to KRL Magazine and leave a comment to enter the giveaway! "Highlanderrific! What do you do after taking a lifelong dream trip to the Scottish Highlands? Well, for H.Y. Hanna, she sits down and puts her protagonist, Gemma Rose, in the middle of the heather, the haggis, and the homicide. I greatly enjoy the tearoom theme, foodie talk, and multi-generational cast, but adding references to Scottish myths, legends, and folklore, a
castle, a Highland hunk, and exploring whisky makes this twelfth book the best of the series!"
For all the Bewitched by Chocolate fans... you'll be delighted to hear that I've started work on the next book in the series. I don't have a title yet - if you think of any good "chocolate puns", please do send them my way! I've been getting into the mood of the series by doing some hands-on research of "sweet stuff" at a local bakery. Hmm, isn't it strange
that every time I start writing a "Bewitched" book, I start putting on weight...? 😉
*** Help with French audiobooks? As you may know, my books are also available as German and French translations, and the foreign editions have been doing really well! 😊 I have already expanded into German audiobooks and I'm now looking at producing French audiobooks as well. I'm currently in the process of choosing a French narrator and I think I may have found someone who could be suitable. She's doing some audition samples for me and I would love some feedback from French fans! So if you listen to French audiobooks and would like to help, can you please reply to this email and let me know? Then I can send
you the audition sample for your opinion. Thank you!! (By the way, here are some of the recent foreign releases you may have missed...)
Muesli Moments... And finally... of course, I can't sign off without a picture for all the Muesli fans here! Can you spot the kitty? 😉
Thanks for reading - talk soon!
