Hello! I've had several readers contact me saying they didn't receive the last newsletter, so I'm sending this again - just in case! 🙂

Â
Greetings from Western Australia!
It's been ages since my last newsletter - I’ve been busy writing and juggling multiple translation projects, plus... after being completely shut off from the rest of the world (and even the rest of Australia!) for over 2 years, WA finally opened its "hard border" in March this year. And,
of course, the virus came in, with all its attendant chaos, shortages, deaths, hospitalisations... It's been difficult learning to live with Covid after two years of being in a "safe bubble", so the last few months have been a bit crazy, but we are slowly adapting!
Â
Â
And the silver lining is that we are no longer banned from leaving the country, which means that we can finally travel again (it was a federal crime to even try leaving without government permission!) – so we're hoping to finally see family again later this year... it's been nearly 3
years!
Â
Anyway, I was really writing today to tell you about my new books!
Â
NEW RELEASE!
Â
Too Mulch to Handle
English Cottage Garden Mysteries ~ Book 6
Â
The new book in the English Cottage Garden Mysteries is out now in ebook & paperback! 😊 Join gardening sleuth Poppy as she tackles a
puzzling poison murder, helped by naughty ginger tomcat Oren, "mad scientist" Bertie and a whole host of nosy villagers...
Â
Â
Summer has arrived at Hollyhock Cottage and romance is in the air. The roses are about to bloom, the garden nursery is filled with fragrance and colour—and Poppy is going on her first proper
"date" in a long time. Despite her qualms about mixing business with pleasure, she's accepted an invitation to dinner from a charming pesticide salesman and is looking forward to a night of flirting and fun. Instead, the evening ends with a chilling murder—it seems that insects weren't the only ones who found her handsome date toxic company!
Now, the hunt is on for a clever killer with a deadly knowledge of poisons. Luckily, Poppy can count on her "mad scientist" neighbour Bertie to help her sort the cyanides from the cycads, and she soon finds that her sleepy English village is crawling with suspects. There are
hostile colleagues with scores to settle and jilted ex-girlfriends with points to prove... but was the murder connected to the victim's job? Or was the motive more personal?
Meanwhile, Poppy is grappling with problems at the cottage garden too, from mysterious pests attacking her roses to disgruntled customers leaving in droves—not to mention a runaway slug leading her on a merry chase! Then there's Oren, the cheeky ginger tomcat, poking his paws where they don't belong. But when a threatening note arrives, Poppy realises that cats aren't the only things killed by curiosity. Can she solve the mystery and live to prune another
day?

Audiobook fans:
My narrator Pearl Hewitt is currently on a well-deserved holiday, visiting her family back in the UK, so the audiobook version will be slightly delayed. But she'll start work on recording this new story as soon as she gets back home to Texas and we hope to release the audiobook by the end of summer. I'll
keep you posted and let you know as soon as it's available!
Â
NOUVELLE PARUTION !
Â
Exciting news too for my French-speaking fans: the French translation of Till Death Do Us Tart - Book 4 in the Oxford Tearoom Mysteries - has also just been released!
Â
The French title is: "Point de glas sage" (Les Thés meurtriers d'Oxford) and it's got the most adorable cover, if I do say so
myself! 😉
Â
Â
My French translator, Diane, has started work on Book 5 ("Tôt ou tarte"), which should hopefully be released later this year. If you're interested in keeping up with news on my French-language editions, I now have a dedicated French newsletter, all in French! You can sign up HERE.
Â
p.s. and in case you missed my last newsletter, I'm also excited to share that I've signed a deal with a French publisher who will be distributing my French editions in bookstores across France!
Â
So if you have any friends & family who enjoy reading mysteries (and aren't into ebooks), they can now find paperback versions of Les Thés meurtriers d'Oxford in Fnac and all good bookstores.
Neuerscheinung!
Â
German-speaking fans... there's a new release for you too! The second book in the English Cottage Garden Mysteries is now available in Deutsch:
Unter dem giftgrünen Rasen
Â
Â
And the next German book in the Oxford-Tearoom-Krimi is also coming soon! My translator Rita is currently working with her copy-editor and
proofreader (yes, I have an entire German team! 😉) to translate the manuscript of Book 7: Another One Bites the Crust. The German title is: Eischnee von gestern and we are hoping to release that in the autumn.
Â
German audiobooks: unfortunately, there has been a slight hiatus as my German narrator had to take a break due to personal issues... but she is back at work now and we're hoping to release the next audiobook, which is Book 5: Morgenstund hat Mord im
Mun, in the autumn as well. So for those who were asking... yes, more German audio is coming soon! 😊
Â
For 'Bewitched by Chocolate' fans...
Â
For all those who have been patiently waiting for the next book in my Bewitched by Chocolate series, you'll be happy to hear that I'll be starting work on Book 8 soon...
And I plan on finishing this series, so hopefully all your burning questions about the mysterious (and often magical!) happenings in the Cotswolds village of Tillyhenge will soon be answered!
I'll keep you updated on the progress and let you know here in the newsletter as soon as any
pre-orders are available.
Â
By the way, in case you didn't know, there is a box set which includes the first two books in the series - and it gives you a 30% discount over buying the two books individually. So if you
haven't started this series yet, it's a great way to catch up on the first two stories (and it's in audio too!).

Whew! That was a lot of news! 😊 I hope you're keeping safe and well - and until next time, I'll leave you with a picture of Muesli "helping" to unload the weekly grocery shop...
Do any of your cats do this? Why do cats find paper bags and cardboard boxes so fascinating?!
