Thank you for giving WRONGFULLY INFUSED, the new Oxford Tearoom Mystery, such a wonderful launch! 😊 It reached #1 New Release on several Amazon bestseller charts! And I'm so happy to hear that so many of you loved the new story - thank you for all the
lovely emails and comments I've received.
If you haven't picked up the new book yet, here are the links for the Kindle and paperback editions:
Wrongfully Infused
(Oxford Tearoom Mysteries ~ Book 11)
* Audiobook update: my narrator Pearl is still struggling to recover from COVID, poor thing. But she has been bravely pushing through and doing what work she can, and she is hoping to finish recording the audiobook next week. Then it'll need proofing and approval from Audible before it can be available for sale. I'll keep you
posted!
You know, I was a bit worried because I knew that this story was a little different from previous books in the series, as it features a "foreign" culture and I wasn't sure if readers would object to having slightly less "Englishness" in a tearoom cozy mystery. But I've been warmed by all the comments from readers who said they found the cultural insights fascinating and enjoyed the story being "infused
with something more exotic".
Funnily enough, it wasn't a deliberate decision to make things more "diverse" - I just happened to get a story idea of a new tea bar opening in the village that's completely different to Gemma’s traditional English tearoom, so it felt like the rival tea business should come from a very different culture. (Also, as there have been 10 previous books with predominantly white “British” characters, it seemed like a
nice change to have a slightly different flavour to the story! 😉)
To celebrate the launch, I’m running a giveaway where 2 lucky readers will win a paperback copy of the new book, signed by me and “pawtographed” by Muesli!
All you have to do is CLICK HERE to head over to my blog and leave a comment, telling me which book is your favourite in the series and
why – and you’ll be entered in the draw.
Entries close: Sun 27th Feb 2022
(Winners will be announced in the next newsletter & on the blog)
Good luck!
And lastly - have you got anything about the series that you've always wanted to ask? Any burning questions about Oxford, tearooms or the places in the stories? Or maybe something you've always wondered about the characters?
- "Can you recommend a tearoom in Oxford?"
- "How is Gemma pronounced?"
- "What kind of tea do most people in the UK drink?"
Since I receive a lot of emails with similar questions, I thought it would be a good idea to put my answers in a blog post, then others who are wondering the same thing can read them too! 😊 (You can also leave a question about one of my other series, if you prefer)
Thanks for reading - talk soon!
