I hope you had a nice break over the Christmas holidays and a good start to the new year.
For all those who have been asking, I'm delighted to tell you that "Wrongfully Infused", the upcoming new book in the Oxford Tearoom Mysteries, is finally available on pre-order!
The book should hopefully go "live" by the end of this week so I'll drop you a line as soon as it's up. (If you've pre-ordered, the book will automatically be delivered to your device when it goes live).
And I'm excited to share the cover reveal with you too! What do you think? As you can see, this story features a bit of "East meets West"...
Here's a bit more about the new book:
When a trendy "tea bar" opens up in the same Cotswolds village where Gemma's quaint English tearoom is situated, she suddenly finds her customers being stolen and her business the target of sabotage. Things go from bad to worse when the ruthless rival owner of the new tea bar is mysteriously murdered and Gemma is considered the key suspect! With her detective boyfriend Devlin O'Connor in hot water, accused of nepotism for
helping her, Gemma has to tackle the case on her own. Luckily, she can still count on the help of the nosy Old Biddies, while the naughty antics of her tabby cat Muesli uncover some unexpected clues too! But with a full menu of suspects—from a belligerent chef who lost everything to estranged sisters hurt by the ultimate betrayal—Gemma discovers that solving this mystery is no piece of cake...
(For those who might have missed it, I've shared some sneak previews of the book on my website. You can read them HERE )
What about paperback?
The paperback edition is not available for pre-order, but it should be available to purchase when the book goes live.
What about the audiobook?
My narrator, Pearl Hewitt, has started work on recording the audiobook version and we were originally hoping that it could be released very soon after the ebook & paperback versions (maybe even the same week!).
But poor Pearl was infected with COVID a week ago and although she initially had mild symptoms, she has suffered a setback since with post-viral fatigue, brain fog and general "shut down" of her body, as well as issues with her voice. So she has been forced to rest and allow her body to recover - which means that unfortunately the audiobook version will be delayed.
Anyway, the most important thing is her health and I've told Pearl to take all the time she needs. Hopefully she'll be back to her old self soon. 🤞 I'll keep you posted on what happens and let you know as soon as the audiobook version becomes available.
Giveaway Winners!
Congratulations to the 5 lucky readers who have each won a signed (& "pawtographed" by Muesli!) copy of their favourite title from any of my mysteries! They are:
pumpkin23seed
Rose Donovan
Dianne KC
Glenda Newell
Luna Bryte
Winners will be contacted directly by my assistant, Erin. If you haven't heard from her by the end of this week, please email her on: assistant@hyhanna.com
If you didn't win this time, don't worry! I'll be running the same giveaway again soon so there will be plenty more chances to win a signed copy of your favourite book 😊
And lastly, for all the Muesli fans, here's a parting picture of the little minx indulging in some Sunday morning "cat yoga" 😄.
When we first got Muesli as a rescue kitten, her tail seemed disproportionately long. We kept thinking that she would grow into that tail as she got older but somehow, she never did and her tail still seems ridiculously long compared to her body. She loves leaving it stretched out behind her, just where you're likely to trip over it, then glare at you reproachfully when you step on
it by mistake. Honestly, cats drive you bonkers sometimes!
